Would Westeros Be Better Off Without Cersei and Daenerys?
Would Westeros Be Better Off Without Cersei and Daenerys?
Is this even a question? Absolutely! In fact, I'd argue that the people of Westeros are better off without them, especially if you're a Northerner.
Even though the now-Six Kingdoms have found themselves under the rule of someone who probably watches them sleep like some sort of creepy omnipotent Santa Claus...
Remember kids, don’t get it on in front of a heart tree. Bran the Broken is watching, and he’s ashamed of you.
The North Needs Its Queen
The North has finally found its rightful ruler in Sansa Stark, the Queen in the North. After all the crap she's gone through over the course of eight seasons, I daresay Sansa would probably be one of the most fit rulers we have left since it seems like everyone else is either dead or a child—or a dead child.
She's seen the intrigue of King's Landing firsthand and has enough sense to know that she needs to do... more or less the exact opposite. She was a prisoner in King's Landing and later a prisoner in her own home, but her experiences have transformed her into...
The Queen in the North!
Echoing Chants
THE QUEEN IN THE NORTH! THE QUEEN IN THE NORTH! THE QUEEN IN THE NORTH!
Most definitely!
A Better World Without Them
A world ruled by Bran the Broken, aka the Three-eyed Raven, guided by his hand, Tyrion Lannister, along with Sam Tarly, Brienne of Tarth, Davos Seaworth, and Bronn of the Blackwater... is and will be a far better world to live in. Arguably the best possible.
How the Common People Feel
Yes, you and I do it every day. Oh you meant in the world of Westeros? Ah, I think folks will get along just fine. Most smallfolk don't care who rules as long as they're left alone mostly.
Cersei and Daenerys won't be entirely gone from the world, though. Scholars, maesters, and fishwives alike will argue for generations who the worst tyrants in history were, and their names will inevitably come up. In a way, they've left a dark legacy that will leave its mark for generations to come.
Cersei Lannister VS. Daenerys Targaryen
Cersei, no. I shall always mourn that wicked queen with the good lines, genuine love for her family, and redeeming cheekbones. Lady KNEW she was bad and owned it. Villains like that are enjoyable.
Daenerys, on the other hand, the lady who burned, crushed, or shanked the helpless citizens of Kings Landing and was happily planning to do the same to the rest of the world. Who gaslit, manipulated, and threatened the family of Jon whenever he wasn't doing what she wanted. Who showed no interest in or talent for ruling, wasting precious food supplies, and performing unfair utions based on her whims...
I really don't miss her at all, or see why Planetos needed Aerys II.0.
