Will Marvel Ever Reboot the Avengers After Endgame?

The world of Marvel fans is buzzing with excitement as the studio continues to craft a thrilling narrative for its iconic heroes. Following the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame, the question on many minds is: will Marvel reboot the Avengers? The answer, with some wiggle room, is a resounding yes. However, the return of these heroes won't be business as usual. Marvel is planning for a brand new lineup in upcoming films, starting with Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.

Upcoming Marvel Films and the New Lineup

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which is slated to premiere in April 2025, promises a fresh look at the team. This follows with Avengers: Secret Wars, set to hit theaters in November 2025. Both films will feature a new roster of characters due to Tony Stark's death and Captain America's retirement.

"It has been a whirlwind since Marvel announced the release of these two films,"" says a fan eagerly awaiting the return of the favorite heroes. "Despite the recent update that Avengers: The Kang Dynasty could extend into a third film, the anticipation for a new iteration of the Avengers remains high."

Phase 4 and the Introduction of New Characters

Marvel Phase 4 is dedicated to introducing a new generation of heroes to the mix. This phase aims to showcase characters who were often sidelined in earlier phases, such as Wanda Maximoff (Wanda Falcon) and Bucky Barnes. Additionally, the studio is preparing to introduce new characters like Yelena Belova, who is expected to take Natasha Romanoff's (Black Widow) place, and the heroes of Eternals.

There is a small, albeit remote, possibility of bringing back some of the original Avengers who have since met their ends. Marvel fans know that the Multiverse is a vast and complex universe with time travel, alternate realities, and countless other possibilities. Therefore, a return of the dead Avengers is not impossible, though highly unlikely.

Avengers: The Future of the Team

Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios president, has confirmed the release of a fifth Avengers film in the future. According to Feige, this film will feature a different team than what was seen in Endgame. This iteration will include characters the audience has met before and those who are yet to be introduced.

In the meantime, several key Avengers will return in various ways.

Thor will return in Thor: Love and Thunder (2022).

Hulk will return in the She-Hulk TV Series.

Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) will return in Black Widow: The Movie (2021).

Hawkeye will return in Hawkeye: The TV Series (2021-2022).

Falcon will reprise his role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021).

The Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) will return in WandaVision (2021).

Spider-Man (Tom Holland) will return in a yet-untitled sequel (2021).

Ant-Man and the Wasp (Paul Rudd) will return in Ant-Man 3: Quantumania (2022).

Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) will return in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022).

Captain Marvel (Brie Larson) will return in a sequel (2022).

Black Panther II (2022) will proceed with another actor taking on the mantle of T'Challa due to Chadwick Boseman's tragic passing.

These new films and series promise to bring fresh stories, new challenges, and a new dynamic to the Avengers team. As Marvel fans eagerly anticipate the future, it's clear that the return of the Avengers won't mimic the past; it will offer a radically new experience for both existing and new fans alike.
