Why Kong Deserves a Victory Over Godzilla

While in many narratives, it seems that #34;Godzilla beats Kong, #34;#34; Kong isn’t the weakest here. Despite his initial challenges, Kong is more than capable of holding his own during epic showdowns. Whether it’s through sheer strength, strategic moves, or natural advantages, Kong often outperforms Godzilla.

Kong's Upward Tides and Godzilla’s Returns

In the 2021 film, Godzilla vs. Kong, Kong wasn’t exactly winning but he did throw several punches, demonstrating his strength. However, evolved Godzilla, with some sand in his eyes, managed to get the upper hand. But Kong’s strength and agility provided a significant challenge.

As the story continued, evolved Godzilla woke up half-way through the pyramid fight, and while Kong threw Godzilla into the ground, it was clear that the balance had shifted. The importance of eye protection and the power behind Kong’s punches played a crucial role.

Monkey Business: Kong’s Unmatched Skills

Beyond the physical prowess, Kong, akin to a monkey, possesses abilities that Godzilla cannot match. Monkeys can jump very high and climb with remarkable agility. Kong’s height and adaptability give him an edge in maneuvering and striking from unexpected angles. Therefore, it’s not surprising that Kong could land blows that disoriented Godzilla.

Plot Reasons and the Battle Rationale

When deciding the outcome of such epic battles, plot-driven reasons become essential. If we have two heroes fighting, it is crucial to have a compelling reason for the outcome. In the 2014 film, Godzilla, as the villain, could not win. The 2021 film reversed this, with Godzilla losing partially to raise the stakes.

Godzilla’s defeat by Mechagodzilla creates a compelling narrative where each hero gets a chance to have their moment of triumph. Kong, as the hero of the film, destroys Mechagodzilla and ultimately avenges his previous defeat, heightening the drama and providing a worthy challenge for Godzilla.

A Change in Perspective: Karma and Forgiveness

As a toxic fanboy, I initially wanted Godzilla to seek revenge, ensuring that Kong suffered for his first loss in the series during the 1962 fight. However, after watching the 2021 film, my perspective changed. Kong, no longer the enemy, becomes a worthy ally to Godzilla and a participant who ends the war started by their forefathers.

Godzilla, Kong, and the stakes of these battles create a dynamic where each character’s victory is significant. It is a testament to the complex and evolving narrative that both characters have, making each fight not just a physical confrontation but a symbolic battle of wills.

Conclusion: While Godzilla is a formidable force, Kong, with his unique abilities and heroic actions, deserves his moment of glory. This narrative not only entertains but also deeply resonates with themes of heroism, forgiveness, and the balance of power.
