Unleashing Dreams: On Screen Roles I Aspire to Play

As an aspiring actor, there is always a role that whispers enticingly, even if it’s just a small part with limited dialogue. This article delves into the exciting roles I would love to play if given a chance, exploring the reasons behind each desire and how they align with my personal aspirations.

Step into the Future: Agent R in Machete Kills In Space!

Imagine a scenario where you are given the opportunity to play a role with a walk-on character. For instance, in the Machete Kills In Space, I would love to portray the character Agent R for Ripley. However, in this fictional universe, Ripley is reimagined with a Will Smith flair. This suggestion stems from a deep-seated desire to ensure that I am not only a bad-ass, but also someone who wants to have a funtime while battling aliens.

Tracing the Dark Side: Granny Goodness in a DC Universe

Another role I would eagerly take on is Granny Goodness from the DC universe. Although the character is a villain, portraying her is a unique challenge. The thought of expressing sadism disagrees with me ethically, yet my physical resemblance to her makes me fantasize about the role. This role would be a dream come true for those interested in the darkness of character acting.

Returning to a Classic: The Little Mermaid Remake

One of the most thrilling roles I would love to embody is a mermaid in a live remake of The Little Mermaid. The appeal of being a mermaid, especially with the opportunity to lip-sync the songs, is too tempting to resist. Moreover, the right-wing enthusiasts might experience a fit of fury over my casting, as I would play a trans mermaid. However, my lack of singing talent is a minor issue, as my overall acting abilities would hopefully make up for any lack of vocal prowess. The additional challenge of the role would make this casting a memorable one for both actors and audiences alike.

Behind the Scenes: A Non-Acting Dream

While part of me aspires to take the lead roles in big-budget films, I also have a soft spot for the charm of the crowd viewer. The joy of being part of an audience, especially in a story that involves my family members in the movie business, is beyond measured. Being a bar patron in The Gordon Lightfoot Story would be a dream come true. The camera pans to a crowd of people, and I find myself in a blue jeans and baseball cap, lost in the music. Acting as this face in the crowd would allow me to experience the magic of the film industry without the pressure of being the main actor.

Choosing My Fate

Acting is a journey where one can be a victim, a villain, or a heroine. While sometimes being a heroine is the ultimate role, I prefer the challenge and hardship of embodying a villain. My natural acting style aligns well with this role, making it a win-win situation for both the actor and the audience. The depth of the character and the intricacy of the role make it a fulfilling endeavor, especially when compared to the often overlooked contributions of heroic actors. This choice reflects my belief that every role, regardless of its size, can be memorable and significant.
