Welcome to My Personal Movie List of 2019

Here are the top 5 movies that caught my fancy in 2019, along with a few honorable mentions. Feel free to join me on this cinematic journey!

Why This List Isn’t Random

This is a list of films that I watched and truly enjoyed, not just a haphazard selection. Each of these movies has its unique charm and deserves a spot in the limelight.

A Inspiration for Movie Lovers

These are not just any films; they are the ones that made me pick up the remote or scroll through more movie posters. Whether you are a fan of Hollywood or Indian cinema, this list is for you. Let’s explore why these movies made it to the top of my list.

Our Top 5 Movies of 2019

1. Parasite 2. Super Deluxe 3. Alita: Battle Angel 4. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 5. Avengers: Endgame

Parasite

Coming in at number one, Parasite directed by Bong Joon Ho, is a South Korean masterpiece. It's the only foreign film I've seen in 2019 that's truly deserving of a spot on this list. The direction is impeccable and the story is gripping.

It was only yesterday that I watched it, and I keep thinking about it. This movie is incredible, and the direction is truly amazing. It's possibly one of the best movies I've seen this year. Despite having some issues, the movie left a lasting impression.

Super Deluxe

Unquestionably the number two spot goes to Super Deluxe. It’s a multilayered satire, gorgeously shot, and incredibly written. It’s filled with multi-dimensional characters that kept me engaged from start to finish. This movie is not to be missed!

Even after watching it three times, I was still left with a sense of awe. It hit home in every department, from the writing to the direction. This movie is a testament to the power of cinema and storytelling.

Alita: Battle Angel

Coming in at number three, Alita: Battle Angel was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t expect this movie to be good, let alone fall in love with it. While the plot had some issues, the character development and the world-building were phenomenal.

This movie was filmed in IMAX, and it would have been even more spectacular. Alita is the best part of this film, and I can’t help but feel special towards her character development. The visual effects and world creation are top-notch.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Although not the best from Tarantino, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is a remarkable film. The climax, in particular, is hilarious and entertaining, making it stand out as one of the best Tarantino films. Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio deliver excellent performances, and this movie has reminded me of the magic of cinema.

Avengers: Endgame

Wrapping up the top five is Avengers: Endgame. It’s a movie that brought tears to my eyes and brought closure to a saga that everyone was waiting for. It’s less about the action and more about the emotional connection to the characters.

While I have some issues with the execution, the movie is still incredibly entertaining. It’s a fantastic final chapter to a beloved franchise, and it couldn’t have been better given the circumstances.

Honorable Mentions

There are a few other films that are worthy of mention:

Kumbalangi Nights (Malayalam) Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya (Telugu) Monster (Tamil) Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota (Hindi)

These movies, while not making the top five, are still worth checking out. Each offers a unique perspective and a compelling narrative.

Conclusion

This list is a reflection of my personal opinions and experiences. If you haven’t seen these movies, I strongly recommend giving them a try. The journey through these films will undoubtedly leave you entertained and thoughtful.

What’s Next?

Since I haven’t had the chance to watch a lot of movies, there are still many classics I need to catch up on. Here are a few recommendations:

The Farewell Booksmart Uri: The Surgical Strike Photograph Highlife Climax

There are still plenty of critically acclaimed movies I need to watch, including Spider-man: Far from Home and Toy Story 4. I plan to compile a complete list by the end of 2019.
