The Ultimate Nightmare: A Battle Between Candyman and Freddy Krueger
The Ultimate Nightmare: A Battle Between Candyman and Freddy Krueger
Imagine this dramatic scene:
Freddy: "I am the God of..."
A mysterious voice interrupts. "Enough."
Morpheus makes a dramatic appearance, eyes filled with an eerie shine on black. For some reason he can't quite put his finger on, Freddy is terrified.
"You are neither a god nor indeed a dead mortal. You are my creation, little nightmare one who has come to believe in the story I gave you and let your ego exceed your bounds."
Freddy responds the only way he knows how. "You ever shut up bitch." His trademark contemptuous sneer and threatening display of his clawed glove ring hollow here, however.
"You were meant to frighten adolescents, not to interfere in the waking world. And you do not have my sister's permission to send the living to her. You are not the lord of this domain, and it is time you were reminded."
Freddy tries to tap into Morpheus' fears but finds he is unable. He tries a few of his favorite tricks, growing in size, multiplying, and attempting to slash the strange figure from various angles. However, Morpheus is unimpressed.
"Do you truly wish to challenge me, little nightmare? It will not go well for you."
Freddy, in a defiant tone, says, "What the fuck are you?" His pride won't permit him to quiver.
I am Dream of the Endless, and I have decided to give you one chance to go on your way. The next time we meet, I will unmake you."
Freddy, in a final glare, gradually fades away, absorbed by the familiarity of a teenager's nightmare, soothing his ego with the knowledge that it was all just his own personal version of a dream.
"One two..." The eerie chant of a couple of children playing jump rope rings out across the dream neighborhood of Elm Street. For the first time, Freddy takes a look at them. "Oh shut up."
Candyman almost definitely wins the ultimate nightmare battle, as he would against Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers, and Freddy Kreuger. The reason Michael Myers is human, he would die. Freddy Kreuger, though powerful, would succumb to Candyman in the end. Just because he has razors on his hands doesn't mean he can take down Candyman.
Candyman is nearly invulnerable in the physical world, capable of standing extreme pain. He is a reincarnated ghost with superstrength, and has the power to stand in a physical fight. Candyman has a hook on his hand used to butcher his victims whenever it is their time to die.
Jason Vorhees would probably prove harder to kill than either Michael or Freddy, seeing how Jason is nearly immortal. However, Candyman is a ghost and was never supposed to exist. Because he was called into the physical world, he gained immense power through his summoning. Freddy Kreuger's powers are deeply weakened when he is brought into the physical world, Michael Myers is human, and Jason can die. Candyman on the other hand cannot because he isn't human, he has the same immortality rate as Jason, and it is a physical fight, which is precisely what Candyman is best at.
Look up Candyman's powers and abilities, and hopefully, you'll agree on the outcome of such an epic battle.
