The Second Coming of Yeshua: Predictions and Preparations

The belief that Yeshua Jesus Christ is coming back very soon is a topic of significant interest among Christians. According to various scriptures, including the Book of Acts and the Revelation of St. John, Yeshua will be manifested at the rejuvenation when He descends from the heavens. As the apostles St. John warns us, 'Behold, I am coming soon' (Revelation 22:7).

Prophecies and Fulfillment

While many prophecies remain to be fulfilled, at least 70 years worth of prophecy is deemed to be in one passage and it includes conditions that need to be met. This means that although it is coming, the timing is not our concept of 'soon'; it is God's timing. However, he insists: 'So shall also the coming of the Son of man be.' (Matthew 24:38)

The prophecies made by Yeshua are being fulfilled, just as He said. For instance, He had predicted that the wickedness on earth before His return would be as it was during the days of Noah, where people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until Noe entered his ark. And just as in those days, no one knew until the flood came and took them all away, so too will the coming of the Son of man be (Matthew 24:38).

Modern Equivalents and Prophecies

Yeshua compared the wickedness on earth to the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, where the men of the city were tempting two angelic beings to engage in homosexuality (Genesis 19:4-5). Despite these warnings, whether we believe it or not, it will happen. Prophecy includes the statement that not believing in the end times will also mark us. So, whether we believe in the coming of Yeshua or not, the prophecies are being fulfilled, and those who do not believe are also fulfilling parts of those prophecies.

Multiple Comings

Some believe that Yeshua has already come many times, as the thief in the night. However, the second coming, which will be marked by the trump of the archangel and the voice of warning, will be a significant and forthcoming event. When Yeshua appears in glory in the clouds, it will be loud and unmistakable. Many feel that the time is near, though it may not happen in the next seven years. According to the Book of Revelation, the mark of the beast will appear first, followed by the death and resurrection of two witnesses, and the mention of the three woes (Revelation 11).

Regardless of how it is viewed or understood, it is crucial to prepare ourselves to believe His words, repent, and wash away our sins. As Matthew 24:38 admonishes, 'For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and they knew not until the flood came, and took them all away.'

The scriptures remind us of the importance of being prepared for the second coming of Yeshua. Just as the people of the flood were caught unprepared, we too must be vigilant and ready.
