Sci-Fi Movie Series I Wish Existed

I Don't Know How They Could Do It, But...

Among my wishes for future sci-fi movie series, one that stands out is the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov. Such a project would be unlike anything we've seen before—combining depth, complexity, and sheer imagination. Asimov's Foundation books are a cornerstone of science fiction literature, and there are several volumes to explore, starting with the Foundation Trilogy. With the advancements in technology and storytelling, it feels like the time could finally be right to bring these classic stories to life, potentially even moving on to the lesser-known parts of the series.

The Time Tunnel: Resurrected?

Another dream of mine is to see the original The Time Tunnel series come to life in the form of a movie or a television series. This series, which originally aired in 1966, tells the story of two scientists, Tony Newman and Doug Phillips, who are transported through time and discover a tunnel system left by a civilization that has since disappeared. Imagine the chills and excitement of seeing these characters and their adventures in a more modern, technologically advanced setting! It would be a breath of fresh air for sci-fi fans and a tribute to a classic series that deserves revival.

Vision of the Future with David Niven's 'Ring World'

The Ring World, a novella by David Niven, is a thrilling and imaginative story that has captivated me for years. It tells the tale of a gigantic ring-like structure, larger than a planet, that orbits a star. The Ring World has all the ingredients necessary for a compelling TV series: richly detailed settings, complex characters, and thought-provoking plotlines. It’s unfortunate that it hasn’t been adapted yet, but I firmly believe that this story has the potential to become a hit if brought to life. Imagine exploring the wonders of the Ring World and the adventures that await on its vast surfaces, nooks, and crannies—this would be a must-watch for any fan of science fiction.

Adventures of Singularity

Adventure with a Twist

Another project I wish existed is a movie adaptation of the Singularity game. I was thoroughly engrossed in this game and found it both innovative and captivating. The plot revolves around time manipulation and offers multiple endings, allowing players to explore different scenarios and outcomes. The game's complex storyline and attention to detail make it deserving of a wider audience. While there are already movies based on the concept of technology singularities, this specific game has a unique narrative and gameplay that could translate well to the big screen or television.

Conclusion

Science fiction is not just a genre; it's a source of endless imagination and possibility. From revisiting classic series like The Time Tunnel to exploring new worlds in Ring World, and weaving the complex storylines of Singularity into a cinematic experience, the potential for these projects to be realized is exciting. While it may seem like an impossible dream, with the right vision and dedication, these and many other sci-fi fantasies can become a reality, bringing joy and wonder to audiences everywhere.
