The Might of the Power Rangers in MCU Context

When considering the strength of the Power Rangers, especially the 2017 film's unmorphed team, it's crucial to compare them to some of the most formidable characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). While the Rangers can show impressive feats in their shows and films, their unarmored form presents quite a challenge when facing the highly trained individuals and powerhouses of the MCU.

Avengers and Other Warriors

Even in the MCU, the unarmored form of an unmorphed 2017 Power Rangers team would likely struggle to match any of the Avengers. Characters like Clint Barton, known as Hawkeye, are highly trained individuals who can take on formidable opponents. Barton's use of a bow and arrow, or any other weapon, makes him a dangerous foe, not to mention his resourcefulness and combat experience.

Compared to a team of teens, the Avengers represent a higher caliber of warriors. Additionally, characters like Spider-Man, despite being of a similar age, outmatch the Rangers due to their intelligence and mastery of their environment. Spider-Man’s abilities, coupled with his agility and quick wits, make him a near unbeatable opponent for the Rangers in their unarmored form. Even if the Rangers managed to catch Spider-Man off guard, it would be exceptional for them to prevail regularly.

Unworthy!Thor and the Might of Midgard

The banished Unworthy!Thor, having been stripped of his powers by Odin, still possesses immense strength and can easily defeat many highly trained individuals. He demonstrates his prowess through his defeat of the Warriors Three and other powerful beings. However, despite Thor’s raw power, his experience on Earth would make his opponent from the Rangers seem almost laughable. Even so, he’s centuries old and battle-hardened, making him the epitome of a warrior in the MCU.

Defenders and Other Superheroes

When considering other characters in the MCU, such as the Defenders, the situation becomes even more one-sided for the Power Rangers. Characters like Frank Castle, also known as Punisher, are often more willing to use lethal force rather than fight in a fair match. His experience and willingness to use whatever means necessary to achieve his ends make him less likely to be a favorable opponent for the Rangers.

Other characters like Daredevil, while formidable in their own right, have faced much more challenging opponents. His battles against the Hand ninjas and even the undefeated Nobu showcase his prowess as a fighter, but he is ultimately not a realistic match for the Rangers given their history and abilities.

The Unique ACME Team

Interestingly, the 2017 Power Rangers team, while not incredibly impressive by MCU standards, still managed to hold its own. Characters like Tommy Oliver, the original Red Ranger, or Katherine Hillar, the Pink Ranger, have displayed notable strength and resourcefulness. Their role in the ACME team as depicted in the film suggests that they can indeed hold their own against some of the more powerful foes, just not those of the Avengers or other heavily trained individuals.

The conclusion is clear - the 2017 Power Rangers, in their unarmored form, would struggle significantly against any of the major players in the MCU. While the Rangers have some impressive feats, their prowess is best showcased in their shows and comics, where they face different challenges and engage in battles that better reflect their strengths.

So, while the Power Rangers can be formidable in their own right, the sheer power and training of the best of the MCU make them formidable, if not impossible, to defeat unarmored and in a one-on-one scenario.

May the Power Protect You

The Power Rangers, with their unique blend of technology, teamwork, and spirit, have left an indelible mark on pop culture. While their unarmored form presents a challenge in the MCU, the Rangers remain a beloved and well-loved part of the superhero landscape.
