Why are the News Stations Constantly Talking about Donald Trump?

The eternal conundrum of political media coverage: why is Donald Trump always at the forefront of news cycles, especially when his opponent, Joe Biden, is undeniably more competent and less controversial?

The Unfavorable Narrative and Global Attention

The reason is simple: bad news sells, and Donald Trump’s political career is riddled with unfavorable incidents and scandals. The media, driven by the need for high viewership and engagement, often focus on these negative developments. For instance, the headline "Near-human Orang-Utan throws faeces at judge" would likely attract more attention than "Man reduces inflation again." The former, no matter how ridiculous, is more engaging and shareable.

Global Interest and Media Responsibility

This global interest in the potential of a mentally-subnormal and fraudulent individual to lead a declining but still nuclear superpower is fear-driven. People worldwide are frightened by the idea of such a leader, which makes it inevitable for major news outlets to cover him extensively. This coverage is not solely driven by ratings and revenues but a responsibility to inform the public of such critical issues.

The Role of News Media and Propaganda

There is a widespread perception that many news outlets in the 2024 elections are corrupt and solely focused on gaining ratings and profits. However, the reality is more complex. These news stations are not just after ratings; they fear the repercussions of a Donald Trump victory. If Trump were to win, these outlets might risk censorship, shutdowns, or restrictions on their media freedom.

The idea of promoting the simple rationale of putting Trump in jail for life is seen as too radical, and instead, they continue to cover his legal grievances and daily antics. This behavior is concerning because it suggests that a significant portion of the media lacks the necessary values and integrity to protect democracy.

Trump's Legal and Media Presence

Donald Trump’s legal indictments and perpetual legal drama have kept him at the center of media attention. He perpetually plays the role of a victim, leveraging his loyal base’s support to maintain this narrative. However, his daily antics and public meltdowns continue to be a source of constant media coverage. The question remains: why doesn't he simply shut up and stop breaking laws?

If Trump truly wants the media to stop focusing on him, he must demonstrate a commitment to legal compliance and refrain from disruptive behavior. Only then can there be any hope of a more rational and focused conversation around the 2024 election.

The Public's Responsibility

The responsibility does not solely lie with the media. The public also plays a crucial role in shaping this discourse. The average American citizens, for the most part, behave responsibly and lawfully. If Trump, who represents a much larger influence, were to do the same, it would shift the focus and narrative towards more productive conversations.

It is a call to all 99% of law-abiding American citizens, to demand more from their leaders and hold them accountable. The fear and recklessness that characterize much of the media's coverage of Trump can be mitigated if there is a shift in public perception and demand for responsible leadership.
