The Making of Prabhas: From Hero to Pan-India Superstar, and Beyond

Eight years ago, I was just beginning my 11th grade. A month into the academic year, school holidays arrived early, bringing joy to a host
elitelike me. However, the return to my hometown was to be even more memorable because of one movie - Bahubali 1: The Beginning.

The movie was a sensation across the country, captivating audiences with its sheer quality. Even in a remote town like Hosadurga, where I stayed, the theatre was packed for all four shows each day. The euphoria was palpable, and watching the movie in theaters was an unparalleled experience. It was my first Telugu film in theaters, and the experience was unforgettable.

From then on, the Baahubali series transformed the entire Indian film industry. By 2017, when the second installment was releasebr>d, I had completed my 12th grade. SS Rajamouli had established himself as an epic director, and Prabhas had become a national sensation, earning the title of a 'pan-India superstar.'

Each and every move Prabhas made was observed and analyzed by cinema enthusiasts. However, since the release of the two Baahubali films, his filmography includes only mediocre or forgettable movies such as Radhe Shyam, Saaho, and now Adipurush. His current downside means that his next venture, Salaar, will be crucial. It's almost a make or break situation for him. Fans and cinema experts alike are eagerly waiting for its release to bring his career back on track.

Prashant Neel, the creator of the KGF universe, wrote and directed Salaar, offering hope for another blockbuster. Salaar is expected to be a mass commercial movie that can match the star status Prabhas worked so hard to achieve. Unless Salaar is really bad, it shouldn't disappoint the fans.

While Adipurush received backlash from the audience for not doing justice to the role of Lord Ram, things may change in the next 4–5 months. Salaar will be crucial for his comeback, and it is eagerly awaited by both fans and experts. Personally, I am looking forward to it for reasons connected to the potential connection with the KGF universe.
