The Journey to Love: How and When My Passion for The Simpsons Began

My journey with The Simpsons began in a unique way. I remember watching it as a college student, where my ex-husband and his friends were devoted fans. Each Sunday night at 8:00, they gathered to watch the episodes taped by my ex-husband. This tradition lasted for around five to six years, cementing my love for the show in a special way.

My Early Exposure

For a different perspective, another friend of mine started watching The Simpsons around their elementary school years in the 2000s or early 2010s. However, their experience was a bit different. They felt born into the love for the show as their entire family was already devotees. The family already owned several Simpsons video games for the PS2, which the young friend was already familiar with. This marked a significant change in how and when I could watch the show. It was now more accessible, and I found myself tuning in more often, revisiting old episodes and enjoying the antics of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie.
