The Hollywood Illusion: Why the Average American Can’t Look Like a Star
The Hollywood Illusion: Why the Average American Can’t Look Like a Star
Why can't the average American achieve the standard beauty of Hollywood actors? It's a question that has puzzled many. The reality is that the average Hollywood star is actually the average American citizen, not in terms of financial status but in appearance.
When you see a celebrity like Sophie Turner, Taylor Swift, or Olivia Wilde at night, without their makeup, they appear much less attractive. Not ugly, but not as striking as the images we see on TV or in movies. When we reverse this with the help of lighting, makeup, and the best designers and clothes, it seems inconceivable that the average citizen cannot look like these models of perfection.
How Standard is it?
The standard definition of beauty in Hollywood involves the use of makeup, lighting, and various post-production techniques. If we remove these factors, many would be surprised to find that numerous females they know, and those they see on the street, are just as attractive as the Hollywood stars, if not more so. Without makeup, many female actors are merely average or better.
Why Some Don't Pursue Stardom
Many individuals could achieve a level of beauty that aligns with Hollywood standards, but they opt for a different lifestyle that doesn't prioritize physical beauty. It is true that a certain basic physical endowment is necessary to become a "star." Physical deformities and unpleasant facial features are significant hindrances to achieving stardom based on physical appearance. Conversely, having a physically attractive appearance can be a great asset.
It is likely that there are numerous Hollywood secrets related to cultivating greater physical beauty that the average American is unaware of. However, with exercise and a proper diet, as well as abstaining from alcohol, drugs, and excessive eating, the average person can enhance their appearance. It's worth noting that movies do not emphasize beauty as much as they once did.
Cinematic Beauty and Its Components
Cinematic beauty is a combination of 1/3 genetics, 1/3 charisma, and 1/3 the efforts of professionals such as lighting, lens, costume, makeup, and hair design. The result is a carefully crafted illusion that elicits awe and is a valuable asset to many in the entertainment industry.
The images we see of celebrities are often a result of a collaborative effort by various professionals. The lighting, makeup, and costumes all contribute to the final look, and it is this illusion that makes Hollywood stars appear flawless. We, as viewers, are amazed by this illusion, and it is the reason that it pays the bills for many in this industry.
So, why can't the average American look like a star? It all comes down to the illusion created by Hollywood. While some may have the natural beauty, not everyone is willing to put in the effort required to maintain a consistently beautiful appearance. And that's perfectly okay. Because at the heart of it, what truly matters is the inner beauty and the person as a whole, not just their physical appearance.
