The Future of the Young Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

With the recent introduction of a few of the Young Avengers in recent Marvel media, fans are eagerly awaiting the potential formation of the team within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This article explores the likelihood of the Young Avengers joining the MCU in the coming years, highlighting key characters and events that could bring the team to life.

Introduction of Young Avengers in Recent MCU Media

Marvel has already begun laying the groundwork for the Young Avengers, introducing a few key members through various series. Among these, Wiccan and Speed were first seen in WandaVision, while Patriot appeared in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Additionally, Kate Bishop is set to star alongside Hawkeye in Hawkeye. These introductions suggest that the Young Avengers will likely be featured in MCU content within the next one to two years.

Character Candidates and Potential Lineup

Multiverse storytelling is a significant aspect of the new MCU, with characters like Wanda (Scarlet Witch) having the power to create young versions of herself and her associates. For instance, Wanda could potentially conjure Wiccan and Speed again, while Isaiah Bradley's grandson Patriot could also rejoin the team. Other potential Young Avengers include Ironheart Cassie Lang, Ms. Marvel, Young Loki, and the twins.

Considering the upcoming TV shows and their schedules, it's likely that the formation of the Young Avengers will be through a TV series rather than a movie. Marvel has roughly six shows scheduled for 2022, indicating a busy year. 2023 seems like a good bet for the formal introduction of the Young Avengers team.

Potential Members and Storylines

So far, the following characters have appeared:

Cassie Lang (Ironheart) Elijah Bradley (Patriot) Tommy, Billy (Young Avengers) And Kate Bishop, who will appear in Hawkeye

Other potential Young Avengers include Iron Lad, who is expected to appear in the upcoming phase. With the Kree and Skrulls already introduced, the introduction of Hulkling, a character born of Kree and Skrull, should follow. Hulkling was hidden and grew up thinking he was human, only to discover his true nature later.

The rise of Kang the Conqueror and his various personas (like Immortus) will also play a significant role in bringing the Young Avengers to life. The culmination of these storylines, including the death of Immortus and the resistance of Kang from becoming him, will lead to a new, younger version of Kang who then appears as Iron Lad.

With all these elements in place, the potential for the formation of the Young Avengers is high, making the next few years an exciting period for Marvel fans.

Note: While there are rumors about a Young Avengers show on Disney, it is currently just speculation. However, it would be thrilling to see the team in action, assuming it eventually happens.
