Pikachu's New Friends: Which Pokémon Appear in the Detective Pikachu Movie Trailer?

Most fans of the Pokémon franchise are familiar with the vast array of Pokémon that have appeared in the games, TV series, and movies. Recently, the highly-anticipated Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie trailer introduced a new set of Pokémon friends for Pikachu. If you have been eagerly awaiting to see which Pokémon make an appearance, read on to find out!

Flabebe, Comfey, Braviary, and Bouffalant

Taking to the skies, or in this case, the digital screen, Flabebe, Comfey, Braviary, and Bouffalant are some of the first Pokémon we catch a glimpse of. Flabebe, a Psychic-type Pokémon, is known for its whimsical appearance and trademark ring adorned with a flower petal that can change from heart to star shape.

Comfey, a Psychic-type Pokémon, can use Move Tutor, a move which allows a Pokémon to teach another a move that it has fully mastered. The appearance of Comfey in the trailer hints at its unique and mysterious abilities.

Braviary, a Flying and Fighting-type Pokémon, is a delight to watch with its powerful wings and sharp predatory instinct. This elusive bird can be seen in the trailer, showcasing its agility and fighting prowess.

Bouffalant, a Ground-type Pokémon, is known for its impressive size and powerful charge horn. The trailer shows Bouffalant in action, with its distinctive curled horn and rugged build.

Pidgey, Fearow, and Dodrio

Traveling through the skies, we see a group of birds making an appearance: Pidgey, Fearow, and the all-too-familiar Dodrio. Pidgey, a Normal-type Pokémon, is the younger version of Fearow. Fearow, its evolved form, is a Flying and Normal-type Pokémon.

Dodrio, a Flying and Ground-type Pokémon, is known for its impressive speed and intelligence. Its three distinct heads give it a unique appearance and make it stand out in the crowd.

Charmander, Charizard, and Squirtle

As we move closer to the plot, we encounter three of the iconic starter Pokémon: Charmander, Charizard, and Squirtle. Charmander, a Fire-type Pokémon, is the youngest of the three, with its small size and fierce eyes. As the years pass, Charmander evolves into Charizard, a powerful Flying and Fire-type Pokémon with wings that glow and a tail that can burn.

Squirtle, a Water-type Pokémon, is the oldest of the trio, with a hard and protective shell that keeps it safe. Despite its age, Squirtle remains playful and curious, as shown in the trailer.

Psyduck, Emolga, Morelull, and Jigglypuff

Joining the cast of familiar faces are a few more unexpected additions: Psyduck, Emolga, Morelull, and Jigglypuff. Psyduck, a Water-type Pokémon with a betrayed air about it, is the often-mocked, yet clever, member of the group. Emolga, an Electric and Flying-type Pokémon, is known for its quick movements and aerial agility.

Morelull, a Grass-type Pokémon, has a peaceful and serene appearance, with its soft and delicate petals providing a calming presence. While Jigglypuff, a Normal-type Pokémon, is an adorable and fluffy creature that can turn into a ball to slip away from trouble.

The Return of Greninja

One Pokémon that stirs a special excitement is Greninja, a Water-type Pokémon. In the Detective Pikachu movie, Greninja makes a significant entrance, and it's clear that its skills and speed will play a vital role in uncovering the mystery.

Roundup of Other Friends

Completing the roster of Pokémon friends are Rufflet, a Flying-type Pokémon with an adventurous spirit, and the enigmatic Mr. Mime, also known as the Mastery Ball Pokémon, who is a magical stage magician with a penchant for charming and captivating its audience.

The trailer for Pokemon Detective Pikachu is packed with fun, excitement, and the familiar, yet new, charm of the Pokémon world. With all these Pokémon making appearances, fans of the franchise are in for a treat, whether it's nostalgic or new additions to the cast of characters.
