Navigating the Strains of Lucid Dreaming: A Comprehensive Guide

Chances are I am not going to offer anything new in the form of advice. But rather a reminder. And since everyone instinctually knows that we live in a time loop of repeated problems. Reminders are usually all we need. That and maybe a new connection between two ‘what you thought were’ loose and uncorrelated ideas. If I only had one gift it would be pattern recognition. And the ability to ask myself: 'Is this a loosey goose nonsense correlation Or actually insightful and backed by 6 levels of analysis?'

So here we go! In the mean time until I get your preferred 'faith,' I am going to use the most universal spiritual understanding to try to formulate an answer. Body, mind, and soul. The trilogy that works independently of your belief in it or not—it will still be found beneficial.

Body

Let's start with the body. Find out what has changed in the past few months, especially in your diet. I'm not too familiar with the list of foods that directly manifest as weird dreams, but I am aware of one through my father—peanuts. Or legumes in general. I think the active compound glutamate is a neural stimulant. I might be mistaken on the chemical, but peanuts. As in peanut butter, Reese's cups, sandwiches, peanut MMs, etc. I am not saying it's peanut butter per se, but more so instructing you to look back and see if any significant dietary changes have taken place recently.

Other aspects of the body might have your sleeping conditions changed. New background noise machines or fans, different sleeping positions, new light stimulations before/during sleep, etc. Keep a journal if you need to, as these subtle differences might hold the answer.

Mind

What you put into your mind can directly affect your dreams. As my dad always says, 'Garbage in, garbage out.' Watch what you watch and listen to both throughout the day and the evening. These dreams could simply be you absorbing too much news in regards to the pandemic—you may feel a spooky sense of things in the climate of today’s world. Just a single idea amongst the vastest ocean of possibilities. It's not always as simple as you watched a 'scary movie' before sleep. But the thing about science is you have to look at every variable and check each one off.

Soul

From Sadhguru, a great teacher much smarter than me, I heard, "You won't leave anything when you think it's bad." This means you have to see the stupidity in something and not the moral wrongness for it to leave your psyche. In my case, pornography. I tried to quit because it's wrong, and I am having much more progress by rising above it—just seeing the act of watching it as dumb, not 'right vs wrong.'

So, what do I mean by that? Stop feeding these nightmares so much energy. Easier said than done. Simple, but hard. As in one step but it's a hard one lol. You have all the experiential anecdotes to suggest you will be fine to your soul. You've done this and survived. Not once, but for a month. Just breath around the topic when it comes up in your waking life.

Breaaaaath. You're not lost. You're not trapped. You're not any of those things. Well, at least not on this level of analysis. 'Humans do be kind of trapped and lost tho' hahah.' And then it comes down to the super super obvious: what are you needing to learn from these experiences in the dreamscape? This isn't new information.

Summary

What are you eating?

What are you watching?

What is the lesson?

Don’t assume that the trilogy of body/mind/soul don’t work in a team effort to manifest your dreamland. Keep responding, let’s have an open dialogue. I actually like to help, like really. And this question definitely exists in my wheelhouse.
