Navigating Through Lockdown Entertainment: From Classics to New Binge-Worthy Series

Introduction to Lockdown Binge-Watching

Lockdowns can turn into a monotonous experience, but they also offer unexpected opportunities for indulgence, particularly in entertainment. Whether it's revisiting classics or discovering new series, this period often sees a surge in binge-watching. In this article, we'll explore the thrills and experiences of watching series during lockdowns, from beloved classics to the latest and hottest shows.

Classic Series Galore

Countless series were completed during lockdowns, with many viewers revisiting old favorites. Titles like True Blood, Grimm, The Wire, True Detectives, Lord of the Rings, and The Hobbits (all parts) were among the most thoroughly enjoyed. Notable mentions include Fringe, Chernobyl, Forever, Vikings (final season), Ragnarok, Breaking Bad (all 15 seasons), Supernatural, Game of Thrones (multiple re-watches), Arrow (all 8 seasons), Prison Break (all 5 seasons), and Dexter (all 8 seasons).

Chill-Worthy Shows

While many series demanded substantial time commitments, others offered a more relaxing and chill experience. Shows like Death Note, Money Heist, Family Man, Grey's Anatomy, and Breath were favorites for their engaging narratives and calming effects.

Aspiring to New Heights of Entertainment

During these lockdown periods, viewers are constantly on the lookout for new and exciting series. Here’s a list of shows that caught my attention and what I’ve been up to:

1. WestWorld

WestWorld, a highly acclaimed sci-fi show, has been generating a lot of buzz. Despite initial skepticism due to reviews claiming it was too slow-paced, this show is anything but. It is well-developed, characterized by gripping storytelling and twists that keep you hooked. Each season adds depth and keeps the storyline engaging. As of now, I’ve completed two seasons, with the third season currently airing on HBO.

2. Asur

Asur is a standout among shows based on serial killers. While numerous similar shows exist, this Indian creation stands out for its exceptional storyline and character development. It proves that Indian content can rival the best in the world. Currently, I’m eagerly awaiting the next episode of Asur.

3. Ozark Season 3

Ozark has always been a thrilling choice, and season 3 was no exception. This Netflix original doesn’t get the recognition it deserves. I’ve read numerous articles suggesting that season 3 took the stakes to the next level. The show features a perfect blend of suspense and entertainment, with each episode leaving you wanting more. I am now anxiously anticipating the arrival of season 4.

4. Money Heist Part 4

If you're a fan of thrilling heists, then Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) is a must-watch. This part 4 is a cliffhanger, much like the rest of the series. It's designed to keep you on the edge of your seat, promising more intrigue and suspense.

5. Marzi

Unfortunately, the series Marzi is still in progress, and I won't add it to the list until I’ve finished it. However, based on the reviews, it promises to be another thrilling addition to the lineup. Watch this space for an update!

Conclusion: Enjoying the Journey

Lockdowns provide ample time to dive into a variety of entertainment options. Whether it’s revisiting classics, exploring new sci-fi series, or enjoying chilling dramedies, there is something for everyone. From WestWorld’s intricate plots to the gripping narrative of Asur, viewers have numerous options to choose from. Join in the journey and let the shows transport you to thrilling new worlds!
