My Ideal Class at Hogwarts and My Favorite Harry Potter Characters

As a fan of the Harry Potter series, I often imagine what classes I would teach at Hogwarts if I were to time-travel back to Diagon Alley. While many classes sound enchanting, the subject of Arithmancy, which encompasses magic probability algorithms and mathematics, stands out as both fascinating and practical.

If I Could Teach a Class at Hogwarts

Arithmancy, the study of numbers and their inherent magical properties, could be expanded to include applications in betting, stock exchanges, and even personal decision-making. Teaching Arithmancy could also provide a deeper understanding of the magical world from a mathematical perspective, making it an intriguing subject for both students and teachers alike.

Another Curious Choice

While Arithmancy is a captivating subject, if the world of Hogwarts had to choose a class based on available resources and expertise, I would propose a subject focused on healing and health magic. In the seventh book, Harry himself mentions the significant flaw in his own education due to a lack of medical education in magic. Healing magic is a critical skill for any wizard, and the practical application of such knowledge could save countless lives.

Alternatively, if I had to choose another subject, Transfiguration would be a wonderful option. Perhaps not as versatile as Arithmancy, but the subject's cool factor and the sheer magic involved in transforming objects would undoubtedly captivate the students.

Who are My Favorite Characters in the Harry Potter Series?

When it comes to my favorite characters in the Harry Potter series, it's quite a challenge to pick a single individual due to the rich tapestry of personalities and stories. However, I would like to share some of my favorites and why they stand out to me.

Harry James Potter

Harry Potter, the prophesied boy who lived, is the main character of the series. He is incredibly powerful, brave, and kind. Despite facing unimaginable obstacles, Harry remains steadfast in his quest to navigate the wizarding world and save his friends. He doesn't get the attention he deserves due to numerous factors, but he is one of the most compelling characters in the entire series.

Sirius Black

Sirius Black, once an esteemed member of the Order of the Phoenix, is cool, loyal, and brave. He is one of the few family members who truly understands and supports Harry. Sirius serves as Harry's godfather and is an integral part of his life, imparting wisdom and protecting him when he was in most need.

Ginny Molly Weasley

Ginny Weasley is a sassy, bossy, and funny queen of the Weasley clan. Despite the absence of any movies that truly capture her character, she is one of my favorite characters. Her dynamic personality and strength make her a standout figure in the series.

Minerva McGonagall

Minerva McGonagall, the strict, sassy, and affectionate head of Gryffindor, is an amazing character. Her moments are filled with badassery and grace, making her a role model for both students and teachers alike. Her dedication to maintaining the traditions of Hogwarts and her unwavering loyalty to her students and colleagues are truly admirable.

Suffice it to say, the Harry Potter series is filled with a plethora of extraordinary characters who each bring something unique to the narrative. It would be impossible to list them all, as there are countless more who deserve recognition for their contributions to the wizarding world.
