Living in a state of constant stress and the weight of past trauma can be exhausting. For me, finding peace and tranquility is vital, particularly when my mind is triggered by past adversities. It is during these moments that I seek solace and renewed strength.

Even though we often grapple with financial shortages, the health of each family member is a testament to the resilience we have cultivated together. My Mother: The Unsung Hero

As a child, I was witness to the immense labor that my mother undertook to provide for our family. My mother carried stacks of 10-12 bricks on her head and undertook a daily journey of 100-150 meters to a brick kiln, working for 8-9 hours under scorching heat. She was a typical village woman, bathing with dust in the work field and wielding a pickaxe and hoe. These images of her working tirelessly are etched in my memory.

Despite her physical labor, my mother's selflessness knew no bounds. She worked tirelessly to ensure that our family's basic needs were met. My father, on the other hand, struggled with physical exertion, making it even more challenging for my mother to shoulder the responsibility of the household. Together, we worked hard, taking on various jobs such as loading and unloading bricks, harvesting work, and construction of houses and schools in our village. Along the way, I completed my schooling and graduation, ultimately securing a job to support our family's financial needs.

With a decent job, I have been able to provide for my family's basic needs, such as air conditioning tickets, school fees, groceries, and clothing. More importantly, I have been able to ensure that my two sisters have a better future, which includes getting them married. The sacrifices my mother made have paid off in a significant way, allowing me to fulfill my responsibilities.

The Heartwarming Epiphany

What brings me the most joy in life now is the epiphany that my mother no longer has to work round the clock. She now enjoys a life of comfort and peace, having the opportunity to visit places, sitting leisurely, and savoring the simple pleasures in life like a cup of coffee, a delicious pizza, and other luxuries.

This joy fills my heart with gratitude and strengthens my resolve to overcome any difficulties in life. It is a beautiful reminder of the sacrifices my mother has made for our family, and it brings me immense joy to know that she can now enjoy the fruits of her hard work.
