Life has certainly taken an unexpected turn due to the ongoing lockdowns across the world. For many, it's a period filled with challenges, yet it also offers unique opportunities to enhance both productivity and personal growth. Worklife Balance Amidst Lockdown
For a typical working professional, the lockdown serves as both a challenge and an opportunity. As per the new regulations in states like Maharashtra, working from home for at least nine hours a day is mandatory. This means that while your work hours may seem demanding, the key is to find a balance between professional commitments and personal well-being.
My own experience with the lockdown has seen me working for 11 hours at a stretch, followed by leisure time spent on Adda52 and Quora.
Personal Growth Through Writing
During this period, I have managed to channel my time creatively by writing two books. The first, titled 'Surviving the 2020 Meltdown', is already available on Amazon. My second book will be published this week, and at the same time, I am planning a third book to commemorate our 'Lockdown 3.0' experience. Writing has been not only a creative outlet, but also a means to process my thoughts and emotions.
Physical and Mental Well-being
The lockdown has provided me with ample time to focus on self-care, both physical and mental. Regular exercise and yoga keep me motivated and mentally strong. These activities have been essential in maintaining a healthy routine despite the challenges.
Spending quality time with family has been another crucial aspect of my lockdown experience. Family bonding was something I had long desired, and the lockdown has made it possible.
Social Interaction Through Cohousing
Living in a co-housing setup called CoHo has added another layer of interaction and fun to my lockdown life. At CoHo, we have a shared living space with various amenities such as a PlayStation and space for live music and interactive sessions with other flatmates. This has not only alleviated the feeling of isolation but has also brought joy and companionship to my days.

Health
Start incorporating activities like yoga, meditation, and exercise into your daily routine. These activities not only keep you physically fit but also help you remain mentally strong and motivated.
Academics
If you're a student, take advantage of the abundance of online courses available on platforms such as Udemy, Coursera, and edX. Additionally, courses from Swayam, offered by faculties of IIT, are also an excellent choice for those seeking free education.
Habit Formation
The 21-day period is a great time to start new habits. Whether it's consistent reading, learning a dance, or engaging in any other hobby, these habits can significantly impact your life and transform your 21 days into the best 21 you've ever had.
