How Far We Are from Warp Travel and Matter/Energy Transporters

Similar to deflector shields, warp travel and matter/energy transporters from Star Trek are also highly advanced technologies that are currently beyond our reach. Even if we solve the issue of creating antimatter, we would still face the challenge of controlling and channeling all that energy, which would require substances like dilithium crystals—substances we have yet to discover. If we can address these challenges, we will be much closer to realizing these technologies.
