Favorite TV Series: My Repeated Rewatches and Unwavering Love
As a versatile fan of television, I have developed a deep appreciation for certain TV series that I find captivating and enjoyable to watch repeatedly. In this article, I'll share some of my favorite TV series that I've watched more than three times and continue to love.
The Classic TV Cinematic Experience: Law and Order and Frasier
Two of my all-time favorites come from the television realm: Law and Order: Criminal Intent and Frasier. I even own the DVDs for both and have found myself watching them every time either one is airing on TV. These series not only hold up well over time but also continue to captivate and entertain me.
Timeless Masterpieces: The Shawshank Redemption
The Shawshank Redemption tops the list as the most loved film of all time for me. Even though this cinematic gem has been around for over three decades, it remains incredibly relevant and impactful. Whenever I feel down or find myself in a bleak state of mind, rewatching this film revitalizes my spirit.
The narrative follows Andy Dufresne, a man wrongfully convicted of murder and spending over two decades in prison while planning his ultimate escape. This movie is not only a testament to the power of hope and friendship but also an incredible work of art. I save it on my Google Drive at Amazon Prime for easy access, allowing me to return to this masterpiece whenever I need a lift.

Enduring Detective Dramas: Law and Order
Law and Order is another series that I've been a dedicated viewer of for over 25 years. Having watched around 85 of all the seasons, I stick to it whenever it's on TV. While some seasons didn't quite hit the mark for me due to the detectives, there were others that were absolutely fantastic. My personal favorites include the seasons featuring Lenny with
Eddie or Green, as well as those with Bernard and Loupo. The transition from Lenny to the first few seasons with Mr. Big and the 2 Italian detectives introduced later was particularly challenging, but the later seasons with Lenny provided a lot of character drama and star performances.
Timeless Dramas: Rockford Files and Hawaii 5-0
Rockford Files and Hawaii 5-0 hold a special place in my heart as they are top-notch dramas that continue to impress me even today. Despite being from earlier eras, these series have aged extremely well and continue to provide compelling storytelling and stunning performances.
Modern Marvels: Life in Pieces, Buffy, Ted Lasso and More
Life in Pieces is a warm, hilarious drama that stands out due to its exceptional cast and writing. The show's ability to blend humor and drama seamlessly and its incredible direction make it a standout in the current television landscape.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer holds a special place in my heart. Starting with its initial airing when I was 10 and continuing through to my 30s, I've watched Buffy more times than I can count. The dialogue is so well-versed that I can quote it alongside the characters, and I can still sing along to all the songs in Once More With Feeling. The show’s enduring appeal speaks to its timeless themes and the exceptional writing.
Lastly, I highly recommend The Good Place, Brooklyn 99, The Office, and Ted Lasso. These modern TV series offer a blend of humor, drama, and heart that keeps viewers coming back for more.
