Exploring the Last Movie I Watched Through its Reflection on Life

The last movie I watched was Addams Family Values. While I doubt I'd fit in as one of the titular family, especially in the wedding scene, I would definitely consider myself part of the outcast group. Given my current role as a parent, I would likely be a parent to one of those outcasts, seeing as they find their own comeuppance at the end of season play. This film's portrayal of societal dynamics, ranging from the creepy and mysterious Addams family to the popular and preppy crowd, offers an intriguing reflection on how people choose their social groups and the consequences of not fitting in.

The Last Movie I Watched: Dunkirk

The last movie I saw was Dunkirk. I would not wish such a chaotic and dangerous environment on anyone, especially myself. In the movie, if I were there, I would probably be a captain or crew member on a trawler or motorsailer, working tirelessly to tow smaller craft back and forth. This role would be a constant reminder of the human struggle and bravery faced in times of crisis, reflecting on the resilience of the human spirit.

Dissecting Predestination: A Vexing Experience

When I watched Predestination, I did not enjoy the experience—it left a haunting impression on me. The plot, involving time travel, loops, and multiple iterations, was too complex and unsettling to handle. However, the film's raw storytelling and its exploration of concepts such as fate, time, and free will are still thought-provoking, even if they are not pleasant to revisit.

From Dusk Till Dawn: A Real Vampires Scenario

From Dusk Till Dawn is now considered a real scenario, which I could only hope brings me more entertainment than fear. While vampires might not be friendly in this reality, the experience of seeing real vampires is an intriguing prospect. With the addition of Santanico, a character from the film, the experience might be as thrilling as fiction. However, the thought of these vampires viewing me as potential prey is a sobering one, reminding us of the dangerous and unpredictable nature of such a scenario.

The Confusing Mirror of the World

The world can sometimes feel as confusing as a surreal movie. Considering that Freejack takes place in 2009, and we have already passed that year, it raises questions about timeline and existence. The confusion highlights the constant evolution of our reality and the unpredictable nature of time. As I work and answer occasional questions on Quora during a Dr. Phil episode, I can't help but feel that common sense is finally coming into play, a refreshing thought after the confusion.
