Encounter with the Unexplained: A Haunting Experience in the Starfish Divinity Club

It was a chilly winter evening when my family and I decided to spend the night in a spacious apartment on the second floor of the Starfish Divinity Club, a diving club I worked for. This apartment featured a large floor-to-ceiling window and a sliding glass balcony door.

Unexplained Cold Breeze

Aroused by the excitement of the day's events, we were still chatting and laughing in our beds. Suddenly, a cold gust of wind blowing from the window caught my attention. My son, who was also in the room, immediately exclaimed, 'Did you open the window?'

'No, I didn’t open anything,' he asked.

It was a peculiar question, as in order to move the window, one would have to stand up, something I had noticed and would have noticed if he had done so. Getting out of bed to investigate, I found the window indeed opening on its own. Pushing the heavy transom shut was a struggle, but just as I thought my evening would be peaceful, the window opened again with a loud noise.

The Incredible Balcony Doors

Shortly afterward, a similar incident occurred. The sliding glass balcony doors, usually requiring considerable effort to open, flew open with a loud roar, as if pushed by an invisible force. It was bizarre to think of the sheer force needed to move such heavy doors, causing them to fly apart with the looseness of flakes being blown away by the wind.

The strange behavior of the balcony doors became too much to ignore, and I decided to move my son to the corridor next to our room. A small sofa and a folding bed were just enough to settle for the night.

Dealing with the Unpleasant Stay

Having to explain our overnight stay in the corridor made us feel uncomfortable, as we couldn’t offer a rational explanation for choosing this option over the luxurious room. Thankfully, the club manager passed by without asking any questions. That night became a part of our story, reminding us of our decision to choose the corridor for comfort and peace of mind.

Since then, incidents like these have become a recurring dilemma, and whenever we suspect something unusual might happen, we choose to spend the night in the corridor. Despite the strange experiences, no unpleasant event has ever happened to us.
