Easter Celebrations and Reflections: A Few Good Suggestions
Easter Celebrations and Reflections: A Few Good Suggestions
Hey Presley! Nothing much planned for this Easter, but it’s a great time to spend with loved ones. How about you? Hope you had a nice holiday. Have a splendid day!
Joining Joe Biden in Transsexual Visibility Day
We’re all joining Joe Biden to celebrate Transsexual Visibility Day today. He hopes Joey will finally come out of the closet and dazzle us in his stunning 5-inch high heels and a French maid dress with fishnet stockings. It’s a reminder that there are more important things than mindless Christian traditions.
Easter in a Non-Christian Context
For those of you who aren’t Christian, Easter can still be a delightful occasion to enjoy the nice weather. The flowers are blooming, and the trees are budding. Take a walk, spend time with friends and family, and perhaps even have a picnic in the park. If you’re home this Easter, reflect on the meaning of the season: the sacrifice of a savior that allows us to avoid eternal damnation. May your holiday be filled with joy and peace.
Weather and Activities in Belgium
Down in Belgium, we’re getting a lot of rain. The weather forecast for the coming days looks quite dismal. So, it might be best to stay indoors, maybe with a good book. When things get slightly drier, you might consider taking up some gardening. Much of Europe, particularly the part where I live, is experiencing a very long rainy spell since October 2023 due to climate change and Gulf Stream variations.
Participating in Easter Activities
I’ll be participating as an auxiliary minister for Communion at my parish this Good Friday. It’s a joy to be involved in the Mass in this way. On Sunday evening, I’ll be spending a quiet evening at home with my wife. One of my favorite old movies is Ben-Hur, and we might just put that on.
Easter Sunday: A Time for Fun and Family
For those with little ones, Easter can be a fun time. Think about organizing an Easter egg hunt for the kids, and have a delicious lunch with family and friends. Reading an Easter story to your children can also be a delightful way to celebrate. There are fun Easter games such as Easter trivia or even spend the afternoon making pretty Easter eggs.
Whatever you do this Easter, make the most of the time, and enjoy your family and friends.
Have a blessed and beautiful Easter!
