Did Ant-Man Survive Thanos's Snap Due to the Quantum Realm or Random Chances?

Ironically, not everyone was declared extinct by Thanos's snap. It is a common assumption that because three of Scott Lang's loved ones were affected, all of them should have perished. However, until given firm evidence, this is just a mere speculation. Justifiably, the quantum realm does not offer a concrete explanation at all. Marvel's vague depiction of the quantum realm leaves much to be desired. While they mention that time migrates differently in the quantum realm, the intricacies of its impact remain obscure.

Survival Not Due to the Quantum Realm Alone

The fact that Scott Lang was among the individuals not affected by the snap is not solely a result of being within the quantum realm. Pivotal theories suggest that his survival is more a matter of chance – that he just happened to be one of the 50% spared by Thanos’s snap.

Randomness a Key Factor

It is plausible to argue that Scott Lang was merely one of the lucky ones, simply because he wasn't part of the 50% that the infinity stones targeted. In the universe where moments of randomness and fate play significant roles, his survival is attributed to mere luck. To simplify, were the survival rate a result of being in a specific realm, there would be far more structured patterns. But, as the plot necessitates varied time passage for their heist, it opens other possibilities.

Historically, theories have suggested that three of the snapped could have brought Ant-Man back through a week's worth of time. However, the plot requirement for variable time passage to inspire a time heist simply adds another layer of mystery to the narrative.

Luck and Quantum Realm Debated

Arguably, Scott Lang was fortunate. It defies logic to believe the quantum realm would shield against the effects of the infinity stones, as the quantum realm operates within our reality. Other realms, such as Asgard, are also subject to acts of the infinity stones, reinforcing the idea that any deviation from the norm is likely due to a stroke of luck.

Though some believe the quantum realm offered protection due to its unique temporal mechanics, adhering to Occam's Razor suggests that the simplest explanation—luck—is probably the most valid. Yet, ultimately, the choice of how to interpret it is entirely up to the viewer.

The quantum realm's mystery, combined with the infinities stones’ omnipresence, creates a compelling narrative that leaves viewers pondering the exact reasons behind Ant-Man's survival until definitive evidence emerges.
