Are Gamamaru and the White Snake Sage Still Alive in the Boruto Anime?

As of my last knowledge update in August 2023, Gamamaru, the elder toad sage from Mt. Myoboku, and the White Snake Sage residing in the Ryuchi Cave, are indeed still alive in the Boruto anime.

Current Status of Gamamaru and the White Snake Sage

During the 4th Ninja War, Naruto does not summon Gamabunta but instead summons Gamakichi. Gamabunta, being probably too old or busy, is not involved in this summoning. In the New Era, it's unlikely that Naruto will need to summon Gamabunta for he is already exceptionally powerful.

There is no clear evidence of Gamamaru's death, so it's reasonable to assume he remains alive. This toad has been around since the reign of Kaguya and continues to play a significant role in the Boruto series.

Age and Power of Gamamaru and the White Snake Sage

Gamamaru is not only old but also incredibly powerful, with experience in manipulating Sage Jutsu chakra.
