’Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’ was my tenth drama, and it was quite an experience. A friend, who is a huge K-drama enthusiast, recommended this series to me. The story is about a dentist, Yoon Hye-jin, who decides to move to the countryside to open her clinic after leaving her last job in Seoul because of her boss. On her first day, she faces several challenges, such as a drained battery, a damaged car tire, and lost shoes.

Despite her initial frustration, Hye-jin begins to see the beauty of the countryside and decides to stay there with the intention of eventually moving back to the city. As people start to accept her in the village, she gets closer to Hong Du-sik, only to discover that he is hiding something which makes him hesitant to fully commit to their relationship. The drama is about their relationship’s progression and how Hye-jin helps Du-sik to return to his original self.

The series is definitely worth watching. The performances by Shin Min-a and Kim Seon-ho are phenomenal, and the story is heartwarming and relatable. There have even been instances where I screamed out of joy during parts of the drama, and I find myself recommending it to everyone I know.
