If you are curious about the actual story of Lord Ganesha, you should read a world-renowned book titled ldquo;Namah Shivay Shantay.rdquo; This book will dispel all the imaginary stories found in serials like Vignaharta Shree Ganesha (VShree Ganesha).

Understanding Vignaharta and Ganesha

In Sanskrit, ldquo;Vignahartardquo; means the ldquo;Remover of Obstacles.rdquo; Ganesha, with his elephant-like body, easily navigates through the densest forests, clearing obstacles like bushes and uprooting trees. His role as the remover of obstacles is well-known among devotees of Hinduism.

Ganesha is the son of Lord Shiva and Parvathi. When Hindus undertake new ventures like construction or housewarming, they often offer a Ganapathi homa to bless their endeavors with success. I have not personally watched the VShree Ganesha serial, so I cannot comment on its inaccuracies, if any.

Vignaharta Shree Ganesha: A Good Watch for Mythology Enthusiasts

Vignaharta Shree Ganesha is a good watch for those who are interested in mythology. However, viewers should be selective and observant to distinguish between what to believe and what to question. While the show suffers from some visual effects and casting aspects, it excels in set design, costumes, and jewelry. In some areas, it surpasses popular series like Star Plus Mahabharata, Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, and Mahakali: Ant Hi Aarambh Hai.

Accurate and Inaccurate Elements in the Serial

The initial stories of the show are somewhat exaggerated and melodramatic, with some sequences purely imagined. However, the main storyline and plots largely adhere to the Ganesh Purana, Shiva Purana, and Devi Bhagawata. As the show progresses, it delves into lesser-known events from Puranas and folklores, presenting them with considerable authenticity.

One notable praise for Vignaharta Shree Ganesha is its portrayal of the real story, rectifying the false sequence of ldquo;Rati cursed Parvatirdquo; and the subsequent relationship with Lord Shiva. The show also portrays Indra and Kartikeya in a more relatable and realistic manner, unlike other series that sometimes depict them as villains or antagonists.

Highlighted Inaccuracies in the Serial

Despite its strengths, the Vignaharta Shree Ganesha serial has some inaccurate elements. For instance, the involvement of Devi Lakshmi in the Andhaka incident and the overstretched Shubh-Nishumbha track are questionable. Additionally, the introduction of various demons during Durg's story and the Gyanari and Subodh story are not entirely accurate. The Shani and Chaya story and the sequence involving Rashmiprabha also contain inaccuracies.

Some of the stories I have not seen, such as the Das Mahavidya track, Pippalada against Navgrahas, and the backstory of Dattatreya, I cannot comment on. The exact storyline of the Birth of Pundarik and Kartikeya's fight against Surapadman are also out of my scope of observation.
