7 Day Minecraft Survival Guide: From Basics to Advanced
7 Day Minecraft Survival Guide: From Basics to Advanced
Whether you are a seasoned Minecraft player or a newcomer, starting a new survival journey can be exciting, but also challenging. In this guide, I will walk you through the essential steps and strategies to get you started in survival mode. This guide is specifically tailored for Minecraft servers on the best server website for survival, where you can find friendly players, great moderators, and support for the 1.18 game version.
The Best Servers for Survival
Complex Gaming and PikaNetwork are some of my favorite servers. The best part is that they are regularly updated with both popular and new game mods, ensuring that you're always having fun. These servers offer a great balance of challenging gameplay and fantastic community.
Day 1: Gathering Resources and Setting Up
Step 1: Gather Wood
To start, gather at least 10 woodblocks. This wood will serve as the foundation for your initial crafting and toolmaking. Once you have gathered your wood, your next step should be to find and loot any structures like temples as they contain valuable resources. If you find any generated structures that contain illagers, spiders, or other dangerous mobs, mark the spot and mine nearby. Village structures, on the other hand, can serve as a permanent residence, as they offer a wealth of resources and even iron golems. Resist the urge to mine immediately after finding these resources; instead, gather food, bed, and set out to explore the world.
Day 2: Deepening Your Resources
For day two, focus on mining. Go deep underground, returning only when your inventory space is full or when the risk of dying exceeds the potential benefit. I may spend days down there to gather all the resources I need. Ensure that you obtain full iron armor, a sword, and a pickaxe, mine at least a stack of coal, and gather as much redstone and lapis lazuli as you can. These resources will be essential for future stages of your survival.
Day 3: Establishing a Food Source
On day three, it’s crucial to establish a food source. Fence in some animals, and make sure that village farmers cannot harvest the crops on village farms, but allow them to use composters. Killing spiders can get you a fishing rod and provide you with food and XP! Aim to have at least half a stack of baked potatoes, bread, or cooked fish, and at least a quarter of a stack of cooked meat to sustain yourself.
Day 4: Crafting a Living Space
For day four, aim to establish a living space. You can use the church in villages as a home base and expand it. Make sure to create a storage area where you can keep all your resources safe. You can also make improvements and upgrades to your village, and at the very least, consider improving your home base.
Day 5: Trading and Building
Day five is perfect for exploring and trading with villagers. Villagers offer some of the best trades in the game, and you should aim to obtain at least 10 emeralds to use for further building and exploration.
Day 6: Nether Exploration and Crafting
On day six, you can do another mining day to gather resources. Take your time to try and find diamonds by strip mining at y12, and make a pickaxe and an enchantment table. Craft an anvil, and ensure that you have at least 2 stacks of cobblestone. Mining for diamonds can significantly enhance your capabilities, as a diamond pickaxe is exceedingly powerful.
After a day of careful mining, you'll have gathered enough resources to make an nether portal using obsidian. You can also trade with your villagers, maximizing the benefits of their trades. If you have enough emeralds, try to trade with a max-level fisherman who will trade a pufferfish for an emerald—an excellent deal indeed!
Conclusion
By following this 7-day survival guide, you will have the basics down and be well on your way to becoming a successful Minecraft survivor. Happy gaming!
